Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Foreman to join our team at Brooks Hire. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop, handling the servicing and maintenance of our extensive earthmoving equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of plant mechanics to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of equipment
  • Conduct routine maintenance procedures, including inspections, repairs, and replacements
  • Coordinate with clients to ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment
  • Manage inventory and stock levels to ensure optimal equipment availability
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment utilization
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in Heavy Duty Plant Mechanics
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Plant Mechanic
  • Solid knowledge of Heavy Duty Equipment
  • Competence in routine maintenance procedures
  • Driver License, HR preferred
  • Forklift/High-risk work licenses desirable
  • Hands-on approach with sound computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible work hours/days
  • Ability to pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol test
