Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workshop Foreman to join our team at Brooks Hire. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop, handling the servicing and maintenance of our extensive earthmoving equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of plant mechanics to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance procedures, including inspections, repairs, and replacements
- Coordinate with clients to ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment
- Manage inventory and stock levels to ensure optimal equipment availability
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment utilization
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Trade qualification in Heavy Duty Plant Mechanics
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Plant Mechanic
- Solid knowledge of Heavy Duty Equipment
- Competence in routine maintenance procedures
- Driver License, HR preferred
- Forklift/High-risk work licenses desirable
- Hands-on approach with sound computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible work hours/days
- Ability to pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol test
