Job Title: Support Care Assistant

Supporting Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Care Assistant to provide essential care and support to individuals living with mental health, physical, and intellectual disabilities within their home and in the community.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Domestic assistance, such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning
    • Community access support, enabling clients to engage in social activities and pursue hobbies
    • Manual handling and transferring of clients with mobility limitations
  • Reporting Requirements:

    • Accurate and detailed shift reports, including progress notes and incident reports
  • Medication and Health Management:

    • Administration of prescribed medications
    • Meal preparation and management of dietary needs, including diabetes and epilepsy management
    • PEG feeding and bladder & bowel care
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum 6 months of paid experience supporting individuals with disabilities
    • Minimum Certificate III or higher in a relevant field
    • Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate
    • Working with children check and NDIS Worker Check
    • National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
    • Driver's license and own comprehensively insured vehicle (preferred)
