Job Title: Electrical Engineering Leader

This is a pivotal role within our client's team, accountable for ensuring that electrical design standards, policies, and procedures are reviewed, redefined, and implemented in line with the changing needs of customers adopting Low Carbon Technology (LCT) in both new and existing premises connected to the LV network.

The successful candidate will lead the assessment, consideration, and analysis of existing or emergent data sets relevant to LV design, collaborating with internal stakeholders to introduce changes to LV design standards, policies, and procedures. They will also manage the updating of documents through the internal document management system and process.

In addition, they will develop new or updated design tools and processes to support the design standards, support local design team members with non-standard LV SI designs, and represent the company on international utility working groups related to LV standards and policy.

A strong relationship builder, they will engage with key external stakeholders, industry peers, and other relevant parties to advance the company's goals in enabling electrification.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a primary degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience, coupled with at least 8 years of relevant work experience. A proven track record in distribution system asset management, utility Company Standards, especially for the MV/LV system, is essential.

The ideal candidate will have a high-level understanding of the electrical supply business, including its structure, processes, and commercial operating model. They should be skilled in creating technical documentation, report writing, and communication to varied audiences, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A self-motivated individual with ability to plan and communicate requirements to progress new initiatives, and a track record of delivering work/projects is required. Familiarity with key engineering/business systems, such as SAP and GIS systems, is desirable.

Key performance indicators for this role include successful implementation of new design standards, policies, and procedures, timely completion of project deliverables, and effective stakeholder engagement and communication.

The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team responsible for shaping the company's approach to LV design and electrical supply. They will have opportunities to contribute to the development of the company's technical expertise and thought leadership in the field.
