Job Description
  • Catalyst Events: Identify and analyse catalyst events for stocks or sectors under coverage.
  • Stock Valuation Analysis: Perform stock valuation analysis.
  • Collaboration with Derivative Traders: Collaborate with derivative traders on investment ideas.
  • Real-Time Opinions: Provide real-time opinions on breaking news.
  • Dividend Forecasting: Forecast dividends.
  • Evaluating Special Situations: Evaluate special situations such as mergers and acquisitions and other corporate actions.
  • Travel: Travel to company events and conferences as required.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Degree: Degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline, distinction average WAM, from an Australian or New Zealand University.
  • Prior Exposure: Prior exposure to fundamental company research preferred.
  • Skills: Strong written, analytical, and financial research skills.
  • Ability to Prioritise: Ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Trading Environment: Familiarity with a trading environment and derivative products preferred.
  • Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of all major asset classes (e.g. fixed income, equities, commodities, forex) beneficial but not required.
  • Personal Qualities: Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, an effective communicator, and resourceful in solving problems.
