Accounts Payable Officer

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team at A.I.R Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
- Identify areas for process automation and optimization to improve efficiency.
- Work with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to streamline workflows.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual tasks and errors.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Resolve payment disputes and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Negotiate payment terms and agreements with vendors as necessary.
- Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports and payment forecasts.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledgers with general ledger accounts.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar fast-paced and high volume role.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent previous work experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (MYOB, SAP, Translogix).
- Highly motivated self starter eager to learn and adapt.
- Strong ability to communicate both verbal and written.
- A positive can-do attitude.

- Reliable and eager to succeed.
- Strong attention to detail.
