Procurement Expert Opportunity

Join a leading organisation that prioritises innovation, customer focus and environmental protection. As a Procurement Expert, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost management for operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop sourcing strategies by partnering with internal stakeholders to assess business needs and create plans focusing on transportation, logistics and engineering services.
  2. Conduct market research, supplier evaluation and performance management to identify optimal suppliers that align with business objectives.
  3. Manage the full sourcing process, including business partnering, supplier engagement, negotiations and contracting to ensure alignment with business plans and category strategies.
  4. Lead contract negotiations, ensuring compliance and high performance of suppliers, managing supplier risk and relationships, building strategic supplier relationships and resolving issues with suppliers.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders at various levels, influencing decisions and gaining commitment to achieve sourcing and business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in procurement or sourcing.
  • Road transport and logistics experience preferred.
  • Proficient in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract management.
  • Familiar with matrix organisational structures is an advantage.
  • Comfortable with data analytics and strong research skills to evaluate spend, market, suppliers, able to do business analysis and present business cases and/or recommendations.
  • Strong negotiations and influencing skills, relationship building skills, ability to navigate ambiguity and resilience in problem solving.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make/drive decision making or judgements in complex situations.
