Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Public Health Unit, you will play a vital role in protecting the health and wellbeing of our community.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental health risk assessments and inspections to identify potential health hazards;
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks and promote healthy environments;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination;
  • Provide education and training to the community on environmental health issues;
  • Monitor and report on environmental health trends and statistics.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent qualification;
  • Significant experience in environmental health practice and policy;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A valid C Class driver's license;
  • National Police Clearance.
