About the Role

This is a Home Care Worker position, working with our team to help older members of the community maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing.

Responsibilities will include providing home help services such as general housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping. Additionally, personal care services will be provided including getting clients out of bed, showering and dressing, assisting with medications, mobility and therapy goals, and support for clients with high care needs.

Social and emotional support will also be provided, along with transporting clients to lifestyle activities or appointments. Furthermore, assistance will be given to family carers to take breaks and manage daily tasks while maintaining client safety and dignity.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys variety in their day and is passionate about delivering excellent service. They should be able to build positive relationships with clients and their families, remain resilient when plans change or delays occur, and adapt quickly. The successful candidate will also need to work independently and know when to ask for help from a manager.

Key Qualifications & Requirements
  • Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable vehicle
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
