Meat Department Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Lead to drive sales growth in our meat department. The successful applicant will have a passion for fresh food within the grocery retail industry and demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of staff in the meat department
- Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales growth
- Order and control stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory management
- Manage gross profit calculations and optimize pricing strategies
- Coach, train and performance manage team members to achieve high standards
- Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to work health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Australian trade qualification in butchery
- Experience in meat management, preferably in a supermarket environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and coach team members
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
