Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading the prosecution service in a specific area of responsibility. The incumbent will manage and supervise a team of prosecutors, providing efficient and effective court representation on behalf of the police service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a prosecution service for the area of responsibility
- Manage and supervise a team of prosecutors
- Provide efficient and effective court representation on behalf of the Police Service
- Liaise with members of the Queensland Police Service, legal profession, government, non-government agencies, and community to achieve desired policing outcomes
- Take a lead role in developing high-quality legal research, opinion, advice, arguments, and submissions for provision to the Court, senior management, and peers
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. They will also have a proven track record of working in a similar role and be familiar with relevant laws and procedures.

Applications will remain current for 12 months. This role will perform the function of Youth Justice Coordinator within the Youth Prosecution Support Unit.
