Job Title: Steel Yard Operator

This is a busy and reliable operation where your work ethic and versatility will be highly valued. You'll be responsible for working with a variety of steel products, assisting in production and yard operations to achieve efficiency.

About The Role
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks efficiently.
  • Assist with manual handling of awkward steel freight to minimize risks.
  • Support day-to-day yard and production activities with high productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Forklift operation for loading and unloading steel products safely.
  • Strapping, hand wiring, and general laboring tasks are required.
  • Use of hand and power tools in a production environment is necessary.
About You:
  • Valid forklift license and hands-on experience are essential.
  • Experience with steel, timber, long pipes, or awkward freight is preferred.
  • Ability to assist across the yard and in production is required.
Requirements:
  • Along sleeve hi-vis shirt must be worn at all times.
  • Along work pants are mandatory.
  • Laced-up steel cap boots are required.
