Opportunity to work in Remote Australia with a specialist team focused on Child & Youth mental health services.

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Professional with a specialty working with Children and Youth for an opportunity in Alice Springs, NT - 3-6 month contract with potential to extend.

Job Details:

  • Location: Alice Springs, NT
  • Contract Type: 3-6 months with potential to extend
  • Pay Rate: $55-60ph + Super
  • Hours: 36.75hrs pw

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services within a multidisciplinary team with an emphasis on Child & Youth care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex and mixed caseloads with assessment, clinical and case management experience
  • Supporting the community, including development of new service models in response to DoH and National mental health reforms
  • Contribute to research and undertake quality evaluation at program or professional network level
  • Maintaining high standards in report writing, electronic record keeping, and file maintenance and quality assurance in service delivery
  • FOLLOWING DEFINED SERVICE QUALITY STANDARDS, WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES RELATING TO THE WORK BEING UNDERTAKEN IN ORDER TO ENSURE HIGH QUALITY, SAFE SERVICES AND WORKPLACES

Requirements:

  • Recognized Degree (Post Graduate Preferable)
  • Social Workers, Psychologists, Nurses and mental health OT's encouraged to apply
  • Recent experience working with children and youth
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrate the ability to write detailed reports and clinical documentation in a timely manner
  • Experience in Crisis Prevention and intervention
  • Proven ability of working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Competent IT skills
