About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part Time Sales Assistant to join our team at Beacon Lighting. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in providing expert advice to our retail and trade customers, promoting our products, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience.
  • Promote and expand our Trade Loyalty Program and Trade accounts, building strong relationships with our trade customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong product knowledge to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Achieve and exceed personal sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the store.
  • Support other team members to ensure business goals are met, working collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Contribute to the overall presentation of the store through merchandising and general housekeeping, maintaining a high level of visual merchandising standards.
  • Support your local community and charitable organizations, demonstrating our company's commitment to social responsibility.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualities:

  • Previous experience in a retail environment, with a strong understanding of customer service principles.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to genuinely connect with customers and build rapport.
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to all aspects of your job, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Competency in POS systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize your work effectively, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
