Job Title: Science and Technology Policy Officer

Join the Department for Business and Trade as a Science and Technology Policy Officer and play a vital role in shaping the UK's position as a global leader in Science, Innovation and Technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement science and technology policy to drive the UK's position as a global leader in Science, Innovation and Technology.
  • Lead on policy development and programme work to deliver the UK's partnership with Australia.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government, research organisations, international organisations, diplomatic missions and companies in the UK and Australia.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance partnership and influence in science and technology policy.
  • Manage a team of staff and oversee programme budgets, administrative tasks, marketing communications and reporting to meet strategic objectives.
Requirements:
  • Experience in science and technology policy development and implementation.
  • Strong relationships with government, research organisations, international organisations, diplomatic missions and companies in the UK and Australia.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to enhance partnership and influence in science and technology policy.
  • Experience in managing a team of staff and overseeing programme budgets, administrative tasks, marketing communications and reporting to meet strategic objectives.
