Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior veterinarian to join our team as a Senior Veterinary Specialist. This is a full-time opportunity, but we will also consider part-time applications. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level care to our patients, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the growth and development of our practice.
This role offers a unique blend of challenges and rewards, with a broad and varied caseload that includes everything from routine check-ups to complex surgeries and emergency care. You will work closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality patient care, while also having opportunities to develop your skills and expertise through ongoing professional development and training.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert-level medical and surgical care to our patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgery
- Mentor and support junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and confidence
- Contribute to the growth and development of our practice, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and team performance
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a veterinarian, with a strong background in small animal medicine and surgery
- Demonstrated expertise in ultrasound and surgical techniques, with a willingness to continue learning and developing your skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and patients
