Cyber Security Risk Analyst Position

One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments is seeking to hire a skilled Cyber Security GRC Analyst to support and align security expectations with industry best-practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Aligning security expectations with the Information Security Manual, Protective Security Policy Framework, Essential 8, and other relevant industry best-practices.
  • Supporting and being involved in IRAP preparation activities, ensuring documentation is developed, collated, and correct.
  • Assisting in managing cyber risk to support the delivery of secure departmental systems and services.
  • Conducting security and quality assurance reviews of security documentation, project, and external service provider deliverables.
  • Effectively managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the IT systems operate in accordance with the Australian Government Security Standards.

The successful candidate will have experience in:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of ICT and Cyber Security technologies and best practices by having 3+ years' experience in a similar role within a medium/large-sized organisation.
  • Proven experience working in complex ICT environments with multiple Service Providers.
  • Certification and/or membership to relevant professional organisations, including certification in CISSP, Security+, CISA, CISM, SABSA, GIAC, and SANs.
  • Experience in Cloud Security.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technologies, or Cyber Security (highly desirable).
