About the Role

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer-Big Data to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data processing solutions for large-scale high-throughput applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop end-to-end data processing solutions using Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Implement data ingestion jobs for ingesting data from multiple heterogeneous sources, APIs, and processing using Pyspark, Amazon Document DB, and R.
  • Design and Build data lakes to store raw and processed data for analysis and decision-making.
  • Develop enterprise data pipelines using cloud-based services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon Athena, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data governance processes and ensure data quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Big Data/AWS/Azure.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in digital transformation implementations, data warehousing, ETL, and Big Data.
  • Experience with cloud-based services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of data governance processes and data quality best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
