Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist Job Description:

This role is critical to supporting our project-based finance operations. As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable, managing travel expenses, and allocating costs accurately within our accounting system to ensure effective job tracking and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process all creditor invoices related to job and GL purchases (on account).
  • Ensure timely entry and coding of invoices for all divisions.
  • Allocate expenses accurately to relevant jobs/servers in our accounting system for project costing.
  • Reconcile and process travel expenses, including flights and accommodation.
  • Liaise with project managers and internal teams to verify invoice allocations and approvals.
  • Assist with end-of-month reporting and cost tracking as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or finance administration, ideally in mining, construction, or project services.
  • Experience using MYOB or similar accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cost centres or jobs.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced finance team.
