Job Profile

As an aviation rescue firefighter, you will be part of a highly specialized team that plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of Australia's aviation industry.

The role involves being stationed at an airport fire station dedicated to responding to aerodrome emergencies. You will be responsible for providing assistance during aircraft incidents, offering first aid, and advising on fire safety best practices.

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining trucks and fire stations to ensure they are in good working order.

  • To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold permanent resident status.
  • A senior secondary certificate of education is also required, as well as a current driver's license and the ability to obtain a heavy rigid license.
  • You will also need to provide a first aid certificate and pass a physical aptitude test to demonstrate your fitness for the role.
  • The ideal candidate will be physically and mentally fit, with the ability to work well in a team and make logical decisions under pressure.
