Job Opportunity

The University of Adelaide invites applications for a 3-year postdoctoral position to study isotopic signatures of critical mineral ore systems, focusing on Australian field sites. The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary research team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive research into isotopic signatures of critical mineral ore systems, with a focus on Australian field sites.
  • Collaborate closely with researchers from various institutions, including CSIRO, Geoscience Australia, and ARC Training Centre.
  • Supervise honours and postgraduate research students as needed.
  • Access advanced material characterization and geochemical/isotope facilities.
Requirements:
  • A PhD in geology, geochemistry, or a related field is required.
  • An established track record of publications in isotope geochemistry and/or critical mineral ore systems is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in laboratory procedures for geochemical and isotopic analysis of geological materials is necessary.
  • A strong research track record in one or more of the following areas: critical minerals ore systems, economic geology, hydrothermal geochemistry, regolith geoscience is desirable.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborations with university, government, and minerals industry partners is essential.
