Job Description
  • As a home care worker, you will provide support services to aged care clients in their own homes.

The role involves general housekeeping, meal preparation, and providing social support. You will work closely with clients and their families to understand their needs and preferences.

This is a casual opportunity with a view to permanent part-time positions, and successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police check and confirm their COVID-19 vaccination status.

Aged care workers play a vital role in supporting older adults and people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily tasks;
  • Preparing meals and snacks for clients;
  • Assisting clients with grocery shopping and household chores;
  • Providing social support and companionship;
  • Transporting clients to appointments and activities;
  • Working collaboratively with clients and their families to develop and implement care plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with older adults or people with disabilities;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • High level of empathy and understanding of the needs of older adults;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
