We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Litigation Lawyer to join our esteemed team in Sydney. As a key member of our Building & Construction practice, you will work alongside accomplished partners on a broad range of matters.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled lawyer with 2-5 years of post-admission experience in construction matters, particularly in construction disputes. Your expertise will be instrumental in assisting clients navigate complex defects disputes and collaborating with building experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting tender and procurement documents to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Providing guidance on claims against various entities in the construction process, helping clients mitigate potential risks.
  • Assisting in efficient dispute resolution through negotiation and alternative methods, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Drafting and negotiating construction contracts that meet the needs of both clients and contractors.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills, enabling you to tackle complex construction disputes.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, understanding their goals and objectives.
  • Excellent time management skills and the capacity to meet deadlines under pressure, ensuring projects remain on track.
