We're seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the creation of innovative mobile applications.

Job Overview

The Video Technology Team at Nine Digital is a high-performing group of developers, designers, and product managers building the next generation of online TV in Australia.

We're passionate about creating new ways for our users to connect and engage with their favourite Channel Nine shows.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented developer to work on cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-performance cross-platform mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to translate requirements into functional and intuitive mobile applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices, including component reusability and state management.
  • Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues in the application.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and libraries ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
  • Perform thorough testing of mobile applications including unit testing, integration testing, and debugging across various devices and platforms.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, React.js, and TypeScript.
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented and functional design principles.
  • Understanding of service-oriented architecture and RESTful web services.
  • Sound knowledge of defensive coding practices to address common security vulnerabilities.
  • Understanding of working in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and test automation.
