We are seeking a skilled professional to lead mental health triage and assessments, ensuring timely person-centred care coordination.
This role involves delivering telehealth assessments for rural emergency departments via the Northern Mental Health Emergency Care – Rural Access Program (NMHEC – RAP).
As part of our First Responder Program, you will support police and ambulance services with community mental health triage in real-time through telehealth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and process incoming referrals across the entire Hunter New England Mental Health service
- Deliver telehealth assessments for rural emergency departments
- Lead mental health triage and assessments
To be successful in this role, you must hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Counsellor. A degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health is also an advantage.
Key Qualifications:
- Qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Counsellor
