Job Description

This opportunity is for a Boilermaker to join Civmec's Queensland Mining team working on various mining shutdowns throughout regional Queensland with potential ongoing work.

The current project will be based at Curragh Mine, where the scope of work includes CHPP Shutdown, replacing screens, bin liners, and roofing. The successful candidate can expect to work 12 hour shifts with both days and night shift options.

The project duration is expected to last from the first week of September through to the first week of October.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Boilermaker: Assist in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of machinery and equipment on site.
About You
  • Trade Certificate: A qualification in a relevant trade is required for this role.
  • Applicable HRWL: Candidates must hold the necessary Human Resources Workplace Laws certification.
  • Current Coal Board Medical: A valid Coal Board Medical certificate is essential.
  • Standard 11: Successful applicants must possess a valid Standard 11 certification.

In addition to the above requirements, desirable skills include:

  • Washplant experience will be highly regarded.
  • Working at Heights (valid within 2 years)
  • Confined Space and Gas Test Atmospheres (valid within 2 years)
