About the Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our Canberra and Riverina region team as a Customer Support Representative. This role involves selling market-leading products and services across the Hitachi and Bell product range.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain successful working relationships with customers.
  • Visit customer sites to conduct machine inspections and determine suitable rectifications for customer issues.
  • Promote Hitachi's range of parts and services to achieve budgeted sales targets.
  • Identify areas for business growth and develop strategies to increase parts and service sales.
  • Accurately and timely report key customer information.
  • Ensure all interactions with customers and internal stakeholders are conducted professionally and requests are followed up as required.

Compensation Package

The base salary for this position is $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation and commission structure. You will also receive a fully maintained company car, tools of the trade, including your own laptop and mobile, and exclusive access to retail discounts and wellbeing through our employee benefits program.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales or parts interpreting within the Mining, Construction, or Earthmoving industry.
  • A genuine desire to deliver Hitachi's promise of Total Customer Satisfaction by developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
  • A motivated and ambitious commitment to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strategic and analytical capability to assess value, including the use of CRM.
  • Confident, courteous, and professional communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with a current driver's license.
