About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team at Nicwillisconsulting. As a key member of our commercial construction team, you will be responsible for creating and completing estimates, identifying potential site issues, and ensuring accuracy of work to minimize margin erosion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate estimates, including all variations, selections, and site cost items
  • Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Resolve ordering oversights and anomalies in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of products, services, and processes to effectively communicate with stakeholders
  • Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
  • Pricing the works within the scope of works while identifying risks and solutions
  • Provide written guidance for the project and procurement teams
Requirements
  • Previous experience in commercial construction estimating, with a results-driven approach (preferably 3-5 years)
  • A high standard of written and verbal communication, with the ability to set priorities and coordinate available time and resources for maximum effectiveness
  • Previous experience in using either Jobpac, Jonas Premier, or Hammertech software (preferred)
  • A National Police Check or ability to obtain
  • A Diploma in Building Construction or equivalent construction knowledge (preferred)
  • A trade background would be considered an advantage
