Newington Farm requires a part-time stable hand for its Breaking, Pre-Training and Spelling operations. Located 45 minutes to the Gold Coast and one hour from Brisbane, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with elite thoroughbreds in a dynamic and dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional care and handling of horses in the Breaking, Pre-Training and Spelling departments
  • Work collaboratively with the stable team to ensure the highest standards of horse care and welfare
  • Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, mucking out, and general maintenance of the stables

Hours are 6-11am and 1:30-4:30pm on weekends. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional horsemanship skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with horse care and welfare practices

This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects. Applicants must be reliable, punctual and have a strong attention to detail.
