We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Financial Specialist to join our team in Newcastle, Sydney, or Dubbo. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient compilation of financial information for monthly reports, forecasting, and continuous disclosure.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

This role includes:

  1. Assisting in the preparation of monthly reporting
  2. Lodging annual tax reports
  3. Preparing monthly sales and gross margin analysis
  4. Processing accruals and general journals
  5. Preparation of tailored monthly financial reports and reviews
  6. Preparation of weekly cash flow forecast
  7. Participating in group financial reporting programs as prescribed by MGH CFO
  8. Responding to audit inquiries
  9. Assisting with tax and compliance
  10. Providing support to accounts payable and accounts receivable
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in accounting and CPA/CA (or working towards)
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a similar financial role
  • Experience with ERP systems and MS Office
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to think laterally
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands
