Legal Counsel Role
">We are seeking a talented and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and growth of our business.
">About the Opportunity:">- Contract Review and Negotiation">
You will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts across various commercial matters, ensuring that our interests are protected and aligned with our business objectives.
">Advisory Services">You will provide expert advice on privacy, employment, IP, technology, property, and leasing matters, helping us navigate complex legal issues and make informed decisions.
">Strategic Projects">You will support strategic projects and organizational initiatives by providing timely and effective legal input, ensuring that we stay compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
">Litigation Management">You will assist with dispute resolution and litigation management, working closely with our internal stakeholders to resolve conflicts and minimize risk.
">Internal Education and Training">You will contribute to internal education and legal training programs, helping our colleagues develop their knowledge and skills in areas such as contract law, data protection, and intellectual property.
">About You:
">- Commercially Minded Lawyer">
You should be a commercially minded lawyer with at least 3 years' post-admission experience in commercial, corporate, or property law, with a strong understanding of Queensland law and practices.
">Practicing Certificate">You must hold a current, unrestricted practicing certificate in Queensland.
">Judgment and Communication Skills">You should possess strong judgment and communication skills, with the ability to navigate gray areas and distill complex legal issues into plain language.
">Collaborative Approach">You should have a great collaborative approach, working effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
">Genuine Interest in Our Mission">You should demonstrate a genuine interest in our mission and values, with a passion for making a positive impact in the community.
