Job Overview:

The Australian Defence Force is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Law Enforcement Specialist. This position requires an individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, providing valuable support in both domestic and international environments.

As a member of the Military Police, you will be responsible for maintaining military effectiveness, protecting the reputation of the Australian Defence Force, and upholding discipline and order at sea and ashore.

Main Responsibilities:

  • General Duties policing and law enforcement
  • Crime scene preservation and management
  • Conduct investigations, including interviews and evidence
  • Anti-piracy operations, including the seizure of illicit drugs or weapons
  • Liaising with domestic and foreign police and authorities
  • Prisoner and detainee handling
  • Security risk analysis and management
  • Emergency Management and Coordination
  • Coordinate, supervise, and conduct substance and alcohol testing

Training and Skills:

As a Member of the ADF Military Police, you will receive comprehensive training in operational safety techniques, service pistol use, and non-lethal force applications. You will also have the opportunity to develop additional skills, such as ship security, firefighting, flood repair, flight deck duties, ammunitioning, first aid, and line handling.
