About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Cleanaway. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled corrective and preventative maintenance services on our fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on heavy vehicles and equipment
  • Test drive and operate equipment to ensure repairs have been completed correctly
  • Repair or replace defective parts on all heavy vehicles and equipment

Requirements

  • Unrestricted HR license with at least 1-2 years of experience
  • Experience in the waste industry is highly desirable
  • Forklift license preferred but not essential
  • Clean driving record
  • Professional presentation and manner with a strong customer service ethic
  • Strong commitment to safety and willingness to work as part of a team
