We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

The Shift Technician will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance activities within the buildings are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety, business risk, and maintaining 100% uptime criteria. This includes routine planned preventative maintenance tasks, monitoring BMS systems, and investigating faults and identifying root causes.

The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including feeders, transformers, generators, fuel systems, switchgear, UPS systems, battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, air handling units, chilled water systems, fire alarm systems, and fire suppression systems.

The Shift Technician will also be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to team members, managing subcontractor relationships, and participating in emergency call-out rosters.

The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management, a strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems, and experience of managing escalation and emergency issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Detailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment
  • Prior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management
  • Strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems
  • Experience of managing escalation and emergency issues
  • NSW Electrical License or NSW HVAC/Refrigeration License is required/Certificate III - HVAC/Mechanical/Electrical
