Experienced Veterinary Ophthalmologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join our team at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real difference in the lives of animals while working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

About the Role

This full-time or part-time position involves working alongside a skilled and dedicated group of specialists, emergency doctors, and support staff who are committed to delivering the highest standard of care to our patients. The ophthalmology department is supported by two dedicated, skilled, and knowledgeable ophthalmology nurses, ensuring you have the clinical support needed to provide excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a range of eye conditions in animals
  • Work closely with other specialists and emergency doctors to deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Collaborate with the ophthalmology nursing team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary ophthalmology through ongoing education and training

Required Skills and Qualifications

We encourage applications from candidates who are RCVS, American, or European Boarded Diplomates or those who are residency trained, as well as individuals with Cert AVP status. Prior experience working in a multi-disciplinary referral hospital is essential.
