**About the Role**

Swinburne University of Technology seeks a highly skilled Accessibility and Inclusion Specialist to join our AccessAbility Services team. This rewarding opportunity will enable you to create an inclusive environment for students with diverse needs.

As an Accessibility and Inclusion Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating, delivering, and overseeing tailored support services for students across Higher Education, Vocational Education, Swinburne Online, and Open Universities Australia.

You will negotiate and monitor reasonable adjustments, collaborate with academic and administrative staff, and ensure the smooth delivery of services. Your role will also involve managing resources, maintaining the client database, and facilitating training for staff on accessibility best practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation pertaining to the rights of people living with disability and the responsibilities of educational institutions.
  • Demonstrated skill in computerised data management, accurate data entry and record keeping
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of clientele, to negotiate on disability support or reasonable adjustment issues and to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and advanced communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to conduct seminars and workshops to students and staff.

This is a full-time, ongoing position at our Hawthorn campus, offering a HEW 6 salary + 17% superannuation and staff benefits.
