Chandler Macleod is seeking a skilled Development Assessment Planner to join our client, a NSW Government agency based in Parramatta. This is an initial contract until further notice with strong possibility of extension due to a significant pipeline of projects. The estimated salary for this role is $63,720 per annum + super, based on 40 hours per week and a pay rate of $63.72ph.

The successful candidate will provide planning advice, review the impact of Government planning policies and housing policy initiatives, assist to manage consultants as required and undertake planning approvals. They will work in a small team to achieve milestones and team deliverables and with external stakeholders (including other Government agencies) to achieve the outcomes of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely technical planning advice to internal and external stakeholders, providers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Prepare and/or review planning assessment reports and packages to ensure they comply with planning legislative requirements, planning policies and requirements.
  • Assist in the completion of planning and technical study reviews, provide advice and planning solutions, and project management of consultants, contractors, and providers (as required) in relation to planning activities.
Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Statutory Planning in either Local/State Government or Consultancy.
  • Tertiary qualifications in urban/regional planning or related discipline or equivalent planning experience.
