This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established civil contracting business that operates in the Roads, Infrastructure, and NPI sectors. The company delivers civil works covering roads, mining, NPI, and associated infrastructure projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will work closely with the delivery and tendering teams, as well as assisting senior management in forming an integral part of this organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the civil contracting market and industry trends.
- Review and analyze civil tender documentation, including specifications, construction drawings, and contracts.
- Prepare detailed time and cost estimates for tenders and projects from first principles.
- Compile detailed construction programs and methodologies, aligning with cost estimates.
- Liaise with clients during the tender stage, pre-contracts, and throughout the construction stage.
- Track costs and claims throughout the construction process.
- Prepare the package for handover to the construction team on the successful award of tenders.
- Mentor and assist in the development of less experienced members of staff and assistants.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
