Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including bore and surface corrosion removal, sleeve/bush installation, bonded nutplates, and panel installation.

You will work on Low Observable repairs and restorations on the F-35, alongside traditional structures work such as minor component replacement, bracket manufacture, and unit-level modifications.

In this role, you will produce, maintain and repair sheet metal, bonded and composite components in line with regulatory and organisational standards.

You must accurately document all work performed, ensuring certification requirements and timeframes are met.

You will report and escalate defects, deficiencies, or non-conformances, and action engineering advice as directed.

You will conduct maintenance activities within your delegated authority while upholding quality and safety standards.

  • Bore and surface corrosion removal, sleeve/bush installation, bonded nutplates, and panel installation.
  • Low Observable repairs and restorations on the F-35.
  • Traditional structures work such as minor component replacement, bracket manufacture, and unit-level modifications.
  • Producing, maintaining and repairing sheet metal, bonded and composite components.
  • Accurately documenting all work performed.
  • Reporting and escalating defects, deficiencies, or non-conformances.
  • Conducting maintenance activities within delegated authority.
Requirements:
  • Cert IV Aeroskills – Structures (Mandatory).
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence NV1 Clearance (Mandatory).
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment.
