About the Opportunity

This role presents a great chance to find a balance between professional and personal life. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will be working in a Permanent Part-Time capacity.

Located in a remote northwest NSW town, this position offers a unique lifestyle and sense of purpose within a close-knit community.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a customer-focused pathology collection service across various settings.
  • Deliver high-quality healthcare services to all referrers and consumers.
  • Perform venepuncture and other duties related to specimen collection, data entry, processing, and delivery for pathology investigations as required.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Pathology Collections or equivalent experience in venepuncture, with the ability to learn clinical environment requirements.

  • Familiarity with pathology terminology and willingness to learn collection, data entry, and specimen preparation practices, including paediatric and neonate blood collections.
