About the Role
The NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a highly skilled Court Security Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Sheriff's Office, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and safety of court complexes and supporting the justice system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining high levels of customer service while interacting with court staff, police, legal representatives, and judicial members
- Serving summonses and enforcing writs, warrants, and orders issued out of various courts
- Preparing detailed reports for court use
- Demonstrating a commitment to integrity, transparency, and a respectful approach
What We're Looking For
We are seeking dynamic and flexible individuals who can meet work demands and operational requirements between 6:30am and 6:00pm. If you have excellent verbal communication skills, strong reading comprehension, and the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions under pressure, we want to hear from you.
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Complete the Sheriff's Officer Recruit Training Program (SORT) within 12 weeks
- Certificate III in Government to be completed within 12 months of commencement
- Current NSW Driver's Licence with a provisional P2 licence as a minimum upon entry to service
- Meet the required health, physical, and psychological requirements
- A satisfactory National Criminal History Check (NSW Police fingerprint)
