We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker to join our In Home Support & Accommodation team in Murray Bridge and surrounding areas.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in various settings, including In Home Support, SIL/Accommodation, group settings, and occasional community support. We require individuals with a relaxed and understanding approach, excellent communication skills, and flexibility to work passive overnight shifts, early mornings, and short shifts.

As a valued member of our team, you will receive the support needed to develop your career through paid on-the-job training, annual refreshers, and paid induction training when you first start.

You will have:

  • The willingness to learn new skills on the job and through training, Certificate III Individual Support (Disability) or an equivalent qualification – students welcomed.
  • Passion for health and safety demonstrated through maintaining First Aid, CPR & Safe Environments for Children & Young People.
  • NDIS Worker Check & Working with Children Check.
  • Current Australian driver's license.

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Providing a Person-Centred Active Support Model which promotes individuals living with a disability being engaged in their own lives.
  • Assisting clients with personal and healthcare needs by pushing wheelchairs, undertaking wheelchair transfers, and using hydraulic lifters and other manual tasks.
  • Assisting with household/venue duties including cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping, and meal preparation.
  • Carrying out tasks and functions in accordance with relevant Standards, Codes, and organisational policies and procedures to ensure service operations reflect consistency in applications and processes.
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date client notes.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
