A senior environmental advisor is required to support the project's sustainability initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation and control of project environmental plans.
- Developing and maintaining an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks.
- Understanding and effectively undertaking SHE accountabilities.
- Identifying and implementing initiatives that showcase the project as a leader in Environmental practices.
The senior environmental advisor will be accountable for demonstrating personal commitment to the SHE cultural framework and undertaking daily personal behaviour that upholds LCPL values.
Liaising with managers and subcontractor organisations to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensuring effective communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrating persistence in building team member buy-in to improvement ideas.
- Listening to team members' improvement ideas and having informed opinions about their merit.
The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification relevant to the field of operation and at least 5 years of construction experience in the related field.
A sound knowledge of environmental legislation and computer skills in current software versions are also essential.
