About the Role

This progressive position involves providing essential equipment and materials to teachers and supporting staff with laboratory techniques, risk assessments, and safety compliance.

The appointed individual will be responsible for liaising with teaching staff, preparing chemical solutions, maintaining equipment and resources, and communicating effectively with students and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Liaising with teachers on practical work needs, to provide class sets of equipment and materials to various locations in the school.
  • Assisting staff, including demonstrating to students the safe use and care of equipment and laboratory techniques.
  • Preparing chemical solutions from bulk supplies.
  • Maintaining teaching resources and the safety, cleanliness and good order of all equipment, laboratories, storage and preparation rooms.
  • Assisting with risk assessments and adherence to Work Health and Safety compliance requirements.
  • Communicating effectively and positively with students and staff.
