Job Title: Senior Artist - Paint/Compositing

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Artist - Paint/Compositing to join our team. As a Lead Roto/Paint Artist, you will be responsible for overseeing the paint/roto team and ensuring timely delivery of all requested elements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Producer and Production Managers with bidding and scheduling.
  • Attend Dailies and follow up with the team regarding notes, fixes, etc.
  • Attend Production meetings.
  • Provide clear direction and priorities to crew members.
  • Monitor shot and sequence progress.
  • Motivate and empower team members to meet deadlines.
  • Identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform quality control on elements delivered to compositors.
  • Pursue fast and efficient paint/roto on complex shots as needed or time allows.
  • Interview and review potential candidates when required.
  • Mentor less experienced artists.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in feature film VFX work.
  • Proficiency in Nuke is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Strong communication skills with artists, supervisors, and managers.
  • A team player who takes direction well.
  • Dependable under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Professionalism in all dealings with Production, Sup, and crew members.
