Salary and Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist - Community Care Specialist to join our team in Hervey Bay. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, client-centered care to individuals with varying physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor progress, ensuring seamless collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate clients and their families about strategies and techniques to support independence and improve quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility to apply (completed stage 1 desktop assessment).
  • English proficiency and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy.
