Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Provisional Senior Medical Officer to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients and supporting the continued improvement of health services.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a remote and rural setting, with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality improvement. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, including anaesthetics, general surgery, and other specialties.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement of health services.
  • Contribute to a framework of sound clinical governance, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant tertiary degree qualification in medicine or a related field.
  • Appropriate registration and licensure as a medical practitioner.
  • Successful completion of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) Rural Generalist Anaesthesia (RGA) training program.
  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
