About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in Broadbeach, QLD.

This pivotal role involves end-of-month reporting, leading a small but mighty team, and ensuring transactional entries and financial frameworks are accurate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small finance team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Audit management revenue invoicing, general journal entries, and intercompany transactions with precision
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly financial periods and deliver Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports with accuracy
  • Tackle reconciliations with finesse from fixed assets to intercompany loans
  • Manage compliance matters including BAS lodgement, payroll, superannuation, and audit support
  • Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process and system enhancements
  • Build strong relationships with offshore teams, suppliers, auditors, and tax consultants
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure our financial engine runs smoothly

Requirements

  • CPA or CA qualified (highly desirable)
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar finance role, or 5+ years' proven industry experience
  • Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advanced time management, autonomy, and attention to detail
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Confident working across reporting systems and able to adapt to evolving technology
  • Able to juggle deadlines, priorities, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure
