Program Overview

This comprehensive program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and nationally recognised training, giving you a real taste of life as a Transmission Line Worker or Substation Electrician.

During the program, you'll train alongside highly skilled technicians, gain practical experience with live work crews, and take part in interactive learning experiences that cover hand skills, wiring tasks, substation, and power station tours.

You'll also have the opportunity to explore real-world electrical work environments at our depots across NSW and ACT, and be supported by experienced mentors and trainers throughout your journey.

The program is an excellent way to explore the industry before committing to a full apprenticeship, and upon completion, you'll be invited to apply for an ongoing apprenticeship with us.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for the program, you should have:

  • A genuine interest in the electrical supply industry;
  • The ability to travel and stay away from home during work experience activities;
  • Transport to your local depot for in-person training and activities;
  • Completion (or near completion) of Year 10 studies;
  • Commitment to attend and complete the 5-week program schedule.
