Job OverviewWe are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our engineering, R&D, CAD, quality assurance, and technical information teams.
This role offers a unique opportunity to have a direct and substantial influence on our strategic direction and growth.
You will work closely with our executive team and have direct access to our CEO, making significant contributions and seeing the immediate impact of your work.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the R&D team to ensure full-scale development of projects from concept to final product.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and compliant with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Oversee the CAD team to ensure timely completion of drawings.
- Provide custom designs for complex applications where required.
- Review custom projects with a view to reducing custom work by standardizing components and making those components stockable.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered with either the Province of Ontario or the Province of Quebec.
- Project Management Experience
- Expert knowledge of structural engineering principles, provincial building codes, and height safety industry standards.
- Strong management skills, including coaching, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
- Advanced proficiency in Solid Works and Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent technical writing and research skills.
- Ability to obtain Working from Heights Certification.
- Proficiency in English (French is an asset).
