About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable business that works with tier 1 clients on a variety of projects. As a Fire Systems Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing fire protection systems for various projects. You will collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure integrated system designs and conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to create effective fire protection strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing fire protection systems (e.g., sprinkler systems, fire alarms, etc.) for various projects.
  • Collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure integrated system designs.
  • Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to create effective fire protection strategies.
  • Reviewing project specifications and local codes to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Producing detailed layouts, schematics, and calculations for fire protection systems.
  • Coordinating with installation teams to ensure proper implementation of designs.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting during the installation and commissioning stages.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and code changes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing fire protection systems (sprinklers, fire alarms, etc.).
  • Experience using fire protection design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • In-depth knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
